About
Tūāpae meaning “anything bounding the horizon”. We are a vineyard and wine producing business. Named for our ridgeline location enjoying moderating maritime influences and expansive 360 degree views of Waiheke Island and Tikapa Moana (the Hauraki Gulf) . Tūāpae is family & Māori owned, with the ridge to the horizon encompassing our tribal territory as members of Ngāi Tai Ki Tamaki. We are the only Māori owned vineyard on Waiheke Island, and within the Auckland region.
